South Reading Patient Voice meets at 6pm on Wednesday 29th May. We will hear Pat Bunch of Reading Healthwatch describe current projects including the Family and Friends project. We will also discuss local NHS news and news from local Patient Participation Groups.

Rachel Cooke, a Public Health officer with Bristol City Council, is developing a healthy weight pathway and is asking for input about any weight management strategies that you may or may not have used in the past. South Reading Patient Voice actively supported the NHS's Type2 Diabetes Prevention Week from 1st to 7th April 2019. We manned our stall and spoke to hundreds of people, handing out leaflets on diabetes awareness and on the NHS's "Healthier You" program, which is operated in Berkshire West and available to those at risk of Type 2 Diabetes, by referral by a GP.
